Dual occupancy, also known as side-by-side duplex, dual living or detached townhomes is the term for building two or more individual houses, with different contracts on the same block of land.

It’s an ideal option for investors looking to maximise the rental return on their land, by renting the houses and receiving multiple rental streams; or owner occupiers who are interested in moving into one home while with the ability to earn income by renting or selling out the separate space.

From the initial consultation, your personal Project Manager will work closely with you to advise on expected timelines for pre-construction and construction of your dual occupancy home.

Each council is different; however, your Project Manager will be able to assist in making this process as streamlined as possible. Remember that obtaining the planning permit is essentially the halfway point.

As expert duplex and townhouse dual occupancy home builders, we pride ourselves on taking the headache out of the planning process. It begins with ensuring all the due diligence is done pre-deposit and then firming up your proposal to ensure the application has the best chance of approval in a timely manner.
