Chantelle and Tom are strong believers in the saying ‘when you know, you know.’ After just three months together they bought a block of land and found the perfect builder with Boutique.
‘We heard about Boutique while visiting display homes a few years ago. We fell in love with the quality finishes and the friendly sales reps we met along the way,’ says early childhood educator and amateur creative photographer, Chantelle.
The couple discovered ‘The One’ during a lazy Sunday drive past an estate in Sunbury where they spotted the Southampton façade.
‘Tom was driving and I shouted ‘Stop! Go back!’ We had never come across a façade so beautiful,’ reminisces Chantelle.
With the display home’s open plan living, kitchen servery window and private powder room for guests, ‘the Providence was the perfect floorplan to cater for our future family as there are so many spaces to enjoy,’ she adds.
Getting your build just right
Despite an enduring process to the land titling paperwork, both Chantelle and Tom say that watching their home transform from frame to painting was as beautiful as it was satisfying.
For Chantelle, thorough research into designs and the elements that will suit your needs is key to achieving the home of your dreams.
‘Find out what is included in your build and if your builder offers an upfront price,’ she says.
‘Remember the floorplan is everything! If natural light is important to you, keep this in mind when choosing your design.’
Finding aesthetic perfection
Chantelle and Tom’s home is awash with beautiful neutral and coastal tones helping to create a relaxed and tranquil space. They styled the interiors with beachy elements, timbers and textured throws to create interest and complexity.
While the foundations for a beautiful aesthetic have been laid, their final home is still a work in progress and is constantly evolving thanks to inspirations they have collected while travelling as well as the Boutique Homes Instagram community.
‘Documenting our build journey on Instagram @daydreambelievers_ has really helped develop the overall feel of our home and scoping other Boutique builds has helped us immensely with choosing colours,’ says Chantelle.
‘It is wonderful to see so many beautiful and inspiring designs come to life and many users are helpful with answering any queries. It keeps you motivated and excited and it allows you to connect and form relationships with other Boutique customers.’
