Customer home: Kevin’s premium townhome in Thomas Green, Thomastown

After years spent renting a cramped two-bedroom apartment, Thomastown local Kevin Young needed room to move. So when he discovered Boutique Home’s new townhouse development in Melbourne, Thomas Green, it was love at first sight.

‘Initially, I was looking to buy an established property. However, I quickly realised that most of the properties in the area that were within my budget needed considerable renovations. I was also sick of being outbid at auctions,’ explains Kevin.

‘I heard about the Thomas Green townhome development through family friends who live in the area and I noticed the project while driving to work.’

‘I’d seen Boutique Homes constructing most of the larger knockdown rebuilds in the area. The quality of the builds was outstanding,’ says Kevin.

‘To see the same quality in their townhome display was really impressive. I also liked that the townhome was turnkey and included all the features I would have selected in a standalone home.’

Kevin selected the Minimal colour scheme from Boutique’s three expertly-curated palettes. The result was a modern and masculine aesthetic, with longevity ensured. ‘I loved the mix of natural timbers and darker, moody tones,’ he says.

Now just months from receiving his keys, Kevin is looking forward to hosting his loved ones in the area he grew up in.

‘I’m so glad that I’ve been able to stay living close to my friends and family,’ he says. ‘I’m most looking forward to having family over for dinner, which is near impossible in my current apartment.
