Featuring the ever-popular Southampton façade which uses James HardieTM fibre cement cladding, the Oslo 29 at Harpley Estate in Werribee mixes relaxed country-coastal with a sleek modern twist. Housing brand new elements, never-before-seen in a Boutique display home, it’s one not to be missed.
The Harpley kitchen incorporates cutting-edge cabinetry colours and sleek benchtops, for a beautiful, bold finish.
‘They have provided the perfect starting point for the rest of the home and I’ve applied their theming throughout the display.’
This is also the first time a display home has featured a barn door – an exciting new upgrade option that helps to support the home’s country feel, while offering easy closure for the home theatre if required.
Mitra styled the home using the façade as inspiration and kitchen as the focal point. Extending the dark colour palette of the exteriors throughout the display, visitors are greeted with a mix of stormy indigo and blues, offset with spiced turmeric accents. The home’s light floor tile offers a stunning contrast.
‘The interiors are designed to be sophisticated, but at the same time homely, comfortable and vibrant. I wanted to create a light and airy feel,’ says Mitra.
‘The sofa colour is coordinated to tie in with the kitchen and stand out against the brighter flooring.’
There’s no shortage of impressive features within the Harpley, with an eye-catching rug and totem sculpture starring in the living spaces.
‘The pendants over the dining are also quite impressive and large – I really wanted to make them the focal point of this space,’ says Mitra.
‘The beautiful parquetry dining table is textured and earthy, yet still contemporary with its white metal base. The dining chairs offer a unique look – modern yet country.’
When you visit the display, be sure to notice the striking colour palette of the entry painting by local artist, Tori Bourke, along with the soothing interiors of the main bathroom.
‘To create a sense of calm, I have incorporated hanging plants, which work beautifully against the tiles. I’ve also coordinated the towels to complement the Polytec cabinetry,’ adds Mitra.
